Vanguard:Saga of Heroes>>Gameinfo>>Transportation
Players have various means of transportation, aside from walking on foot. Across land, player may ride mounts or take a caravan. To travel to different continents on Telon, the primary transportation are player ships. Teleportation may be another form of transportation in certain circumstances.
Transportation Methods:
·Mount

A riding animal, such as a horse. These would also likely double as a pack animal. Although the primary player mount type seen so far has been the Horse, GMs have also been seen riding Flying Mounts like Griffins and Wyverns.
Land Mount
Players are expected to gain their first land mount around level ten.
* Horse
* Camel
* Unicorn
* Shadow Hound
Flying Mount
Players are expected to gain their first flying mount around level forty-seven. They are a highly prestigious form of mount and will be very difficult to obtain.
* Griffon
* Pegasus
* Wyvern
* Wyrm
·Ships

A vehicle designed to travel over bodies of water. Ships are the primary method of travelling to different continents. Although details have not been given, it has been stated that Vanguard will include a range of different ships; from small shore-hugging vessels to large ocean-going merchant ships. It is intended that player-made and player-piloted ships will be the primary (if not only) method of transportation between the different continents.
·Caravans

An organized form of transit that players can use even when offline. Player characters who join a caravan are able to log off and continue travelling. When they log back on, they will return to the world in the current location of the caravan.
·Teleportation

Instantaneous transportion from one point to another. This is almost always done via magic of some kind, though respawning after death might also count.
A recent interview states, that against all hopes and contrary statements from developers, casual teleportation will be in the game:
With the vast oceans, we are told that there will be teleporters available so that players don't have to spend hours on the open seas to reach a destination. From what I understood, they will be fixed location teleporters that will be placed in different locations in the water.

Concept
