Standard Abilities
Aside from those granted by a chosen martial style, you have general attacks, attack chains and abilities that are available to you regardless of your choice of style.
Jin

Description:

Jin is a special pool that is used as the cost to perform certain special abilities and attacks. Jin specials work much like specials that cost Endurance points to perform; the difference is that Jin Specials do not cost Endurance.
Many Endurance specials generate a few Jin points as a byproduct of the special attack/ability.
When the Jin pool reaches a value that can be used, the Jin specials are readily available until there is an insufficient amount of Jin points.
How Jin Is Used:

Jin is meant to be built up and spent relatively quickly. You can store these points for use later, however if you remain out of combat for too long the points will deplete automatically because your character is losing their combat inner focus.
The Jin cap is small, but will grow slightly over time. Because many Endurance specials produce Jin points, Jin specials do not cost Endurance, and that Jin depletes itself outside of combat, it is to the advantage of a Monk to stay in combat actively as much as possible during battle.

Martial Styles
At level 15, Monks can choose one of three martial styles. Styles have special attacks and abilities within them. The three styles are:

Dragon Style

Hard/External style, focused on AE attacks and mystical powers

  • Heavenly Dragon
  • Stone Dragon
  • Dragon Sweeps its Tail

-Point Blank AoE attack + stun

Harmonious Body Style

Soft/Internal style, focused on redirection and debilitation

  • Tiger
  • Crane
  • Withering Palm

-Steals damage from target. It will stack up to three times.

Drunken Style

Mixed Style, focused on evasion and powerful counter attacks

  • Drunken Fist
  • Drunken Sway
  • Drunken Arms of the Cyclone

-Multi hit attack, high damage.

Progression
There is a Monk trainer in Tursh that will send you on to specific trainers at level 15. They will be able to train you in the specific attacks and abilities once you commit to a path.
